Do I need to tell you the failure mode for spring return Compact actuators?
When ordering a Compact actuator, the failure mode must be communicated. Fail open or fail close configuration may have different spring combinations. To ensure the proper springs are selected and the actuator configured correctly the failure mode must be specified.
When does an end user want to consider ordering a ball valve with a vented ball?
Venting of the body cavity is required in applications handling liquids with unusually high coefficient of thermal expansion such as liquid chlorine that can rupture piping or valves when ambient temperature increases.
