CUSTOMER: First installation of a S16-ULV in North American power station
A coal fired power station in the Southeast US was experiencing problems in their Flue Gas Desulfurization (FGD) system. ITT proposed a replacement of the butterfly valves with the Fabri-Valve S16-ULV urethane lined knife gate valve to combat the issues. The customer installed five valves to date and is keeping a spare valve on hand to replace the remaining butterfly valves as they wear out.
STRATEGY: Export license requirements
Some ITT products are controlled under the Export Control Classification Number (ECCN) 2B350g and therefore may require a U.S. Export License prior to being exported or re-exported to certain countries. Selling to a customer not listed on the export license, or selling a U.S. controlled product without an export license, will cause a violation which will result in fines, or even loss of export privileges.
